I saw the "big cheese" today, the head of the breast cancer oncologists. We are still on track for targeted radiation therapy, not yet sure whether or not I will have any IV IG before (for my myasthenia gravis). I am having daily "fading" which makes it almost impossible to do much of anything physically. I have wanted to walk around the park with my hubby and walker (where the sidewalks are fairly even) but I have not had the stamina. She is going to contact my neurologist and dialog with him/ARNP.
She presented me with the recommendation to take Aramidex (it has a generic, name of which I don't know) and she strongly urged me to do so. She was going to start it "right away" if I agreed but decided that it will wait until after the targeted radiation because of my MG. I was hoping to avoid taking any chemo, mainly because of the side effects, but with having breast cancer in one breast and pre-cancer in the other, hubby also believes I'm much better off taking it.
Now am seeing the radiation oncologist on Monday.
Grateful for having a caring team of docs who coordinate my care so carefully, AND one who bothers to read my record and familiarize herself with it before coming in to see me.
